A lot of people say freelancing is hard, but when you listen to their stories closely, many of them went in without a plan, without savings, and without any clients lined up. It makes you wonder if the difficulty comes from freelancing itself or from not being ready for it. Some people treat it like a casual side thing until reality hits.
