Losing a job pushes many people toward freelancing, sometimes out of necessity rather than choice. For some it turns into something better than the job they lost, while for others it becomes a frustrating experience that makes them want to go back to employment quickly. A lot depends on your skills, your savings, and how soon you can land paying work. If you started freelancing after losing a job, how did that transition go and would you say it was the right move for you?

Honestly this depends on what skills you already have. If you can write, design, or do something people already pay for, freelancing makes sense immediately. If you are starting from zero with no skill, you might need another job first while you learn something on the side slowly.
