The only reason, in my own opinion, why most business owners, especially the new ones, are diverting their attention to Etsy and not Amazon, is that Amazon has truly been saturated. Most people are now on Amazon, making it difficult for new business owners to get attention on it.

Setting up a shop is super easy, and there's already a bunch of people looking to buy cool stuff, so you don't have to hustle as hard to get noticed. The fees aren't too bad either, and Etsy handles a lot of the tricky tech stuff. The downside? Tons of competition, and you don't totally own your shop or your customers like you would on your own website. So yeah, if your stuff fits Etsy's vibe, go for it.
