A contract is basically a written agreement that says what work will be done, how much will be paid, and by when. A lot of freelancers skip contracts for small jobs because they feel it makes things complicated or formal for something simple. But small jobs can still go wrong, and without anything in writing, it is hard to protect yourself. At the same time, asking a client to sign something for a ten dollar job might feel unnecessary. Do you use contracts for small low paying jobs or do you just take the risk?
