One thing many freelancers quietly deal with is the difficulty of explaining what they do to people close to them. Family members who are used to traditional employment often find it hard to understand how you can earn a living without a boss, a fixed salary, or an office to go to every day. That confusion sometimes makes freelancing feel less legitimate in the eyes of people around you, even when you are doing well. Do you think the reason more people have not tried freelancing is partly because it is hard to explain, or do you think there are bigger reasons behind that hesitation?
