How will you remind a client that promised to get back to you without sounding salesy?

There are some clients that will not make their decisions the same day they chatted with the clients. Some may do it for some reasons, while others may not have interest again. It is always a better option for the freelancers to know how to get the attention of such clients back. Some may decide to send them reminders, but this sounds too salesy to me.
