How well do freelancers do on Fiverr or other such platforms?

Freelancers should make sure that they compare different platforms before they choose where to be using. There are some people that have concluded that Fiverr is a better platform to be used for freelancing especially by a new freelancer. Others have cited its support which is fast and reliable. Not minding the 20% that will be deducted, the platform is still seeing as the best to be considered compared to Upwork. What do you think about this?
