Affiliate disclosure tells readers you earn money if they buy through your links. This is required by law in many places and helps build transparency with an audience. Some sites show disclosure at the top of every article, others put it once in the footer. Disclosure that is too hidden can cause legal problems, but disclosure that is too large can distract from content. Clear and simple language works better than long legal paragraphs that nobody reads. Showing it near the first affiliate link usually makes sense because people see it before clicking. What placement and wording makes disclosure clear without pushing readers away from helpful content?

A good balance is to place a short, clear disclosure near the top of the article (before or right after the intro) and then reinforce it again close to the first affiliate link. That way readers see it early without it interrupting the flow of the content. The wording should be simple, like "This post may contain affiliate links, which means I may earn a small commission at no extra cost to you," instead of legal-heavy text. You can also keep a brief version in the footer for consistency, but the key is early visibility plus clarity, not repetition that feels intrusive.

I think affiliate disclosure should be shown in a way that people can easily see it without searching. It's not something to hide at the bottom of the page. Placing it near the top of a review or before the first affiliate link helps readers understand the situation from the start.
