I told one guy about how Google ads works and he seems to be very interested in it. He asked me to use Google Ads as a marketing option for his small businesses. I have never done that before and I was wondering how much it typically costs to run effective campaigns. I have been asking him for the various budget and the return is looking forward to with the campaign

I don't know the average Court that will be suitable for small scale business. I know that average cost-per-click (CPC) also plays a big role, with rates ranging from a few cents to several dollars depending on your niche.

For those running campaigns for small businesses, how much do you typically budget, and what results have you seen?

For a small business, I'd recommend starting with a modest budget around $200–$500 per month just enough to test which ads and keywords perform best. The key is not how much you spend, but how well you target your audience and optimize your campaigns. Even with a small spend, if you focus on local or high-intent searches, you can get meaningful clicks and leads. I've found that starting small, analyzing results, and gradually increasing the budget is the most cost-effective way to run Google Ads without overspending.

It really depends on what you sell and how competitive your keywords are. Some businesses spend just $5–$10 per day and get clicks, others need $30 or more. I think the important part is to start small and track results. Don't just throw money at it. Even with a tiny budget, if you target the right audience, you can get clicks and learn what works for your business.

Running Google Ads for a small business can cost as little or as much as you decide, as there's no minimum budget required. Most small businesses start with $500–$2,000 per month. Costs vary depending on factors like your industry, the competitiveness of keywords, and your daily budget.

If your business is a small you can make a budget that is feasible, affordable and convenient for you. You just need to be very strategic with your target audience organically so that the funds spent will be justified and result driven. A budget of $200 is not bad for a start
