In some businesses, the owners make unilateral decisions where they are the only ones that can make decisions regardless of what their workers may think. In this type of scenario, the workers would have nothing more other than just to be at the mercy of the business owners.

While in some businesses, workers are always allowed to make decisions as they are seen part of the business as well. Share what you think about this in the comment section.

I have seen different business owners truly making decisions unilaterally. They don't see any reason why they need to include their workers. I don't really see this as a good way of making decisions. Workers need to have their input in the business as well. If not, it will make them feel like they are not respected.

People share their ideas, talk through the pros and cons, and then we figure out what makes the most sense. Managers help guide things, but everyone's opinion matters, especially if it affects their work. For bigger stuff, like starting new projects, we look at the data, learn from past experiences, and sometimes test things out before going all in. The cool part is we stay flexible where if something doesn't work, we tweak it instead of sticking to it.

At some interval, there may be a need to include your workers in the decision making. This will make them feel a sense of belonging. But when you to make a crucial decision that will affect the progress of the business, there may not be a need to include them
