In my opinion, authenticity is what actually makes influencer marketing work in the first place people follow influencers for their opinions, not just ads. When promotions feel natural and based on real experience, they blend into the content and build trust instead of resistance. But when it feels forced, audiences quickly lose interest, and even the brand can lose credibility.
 
For real, authenticity matters a lot in influencer marketing. When an influencer sounds honest and real, people trust what they say more. If followers feel like the content is forced or just for money, they may ignore it. Trust plays a big role, and once it is lost, it becomes hard to win back.
