I've been experimenting with writing copy for display ads and noticed how tricky it is to grab attention quickly. I tried short punchy headlines alongside clear calls to action. Some ads got clicks, while others seemed to get ignored.

I also tested different tones some serious, others more playful to see what resonates. The results varied depending on the audience and the product. It feels like every word carries a lot of weight in such a small space.

How do you write copy for display ads that gets attention?

Your headline has to grab attention fast. Keep the words short and snappy, like a text you'd actually read. Hit emotions: make them laugh, feel excited, or act fast. Pair your words with eye-catching visuals so your ad pops. And don't forget a solid call-to-action designed with the intention of telling people exactly what to do. Play around with different versions too; tiny tweaks can make a huge difference.
