It is essential for the digital marketer to get their ROI tracked, at least to know their status, whether they are breaking even, making profits or even loss. The results they have in their tracked ROI would surely determine their next line of action.

How do digital marketers now get this done effectively? Different ways have been set up to get it done. There are some tracking tools, that are very helpful to the users. Google analytics for instance and some social media platforms like Facebook and others have their own metrics that they use in monitoring performance.

Digital marketers can use the formular, { (Revenue - Cost) ÷ Cost} ×100. This will show the ROI made on such campaign being calculated for. What do you think of this?
 
Basically, you figure out what success looks like and then use stuff like Google Analytics or social media stats to see how you're doing. Keep an eye on things like conversion rates, cost per lead, and the money coming in. Then compare it to what you spent on ads or content to see if it's paying off. Don't forget the long game too, like growing your email list or getting your brand out there. And honestly, just keep testing and tweaking
 
Another important point is that ROI tracking shouldn't just focus on immediate sales it's also about long-term impact. For example, content marketing or social media campaigns may not convert instantly, but they build brand awareness, trust, and audience loyalty, which feed future revenue. Using multi-touch attribution models or cohort analysis alongside the standard ROI formula can give a more complete picture of how different campaigns contribute over time, helping marketers optimize both short-term results and long-term growth.
 
I do track mine by using tools like Google Analytics to monitor traffic, signups, and user behavior on pages. Watching things like conversion rates and cost per lead makes it easier to know which campaigns deserve more budget and which ones are not performing well.
 
Digital marketing ROI is tracked by comparing the revenue generated from campaigns to the total marketing costs using analytics tools.
