Technology moves fast, and every few years something comes along that changes how a lot of freelancers work in a way that feels unsettling at first. The instinct is to either resist it or rush into it without really understanding it, and neither tends to end well. I think the steadier path is to keep doing the work while learning the new thing on the side until you understand it well enough to decide how it fits.
