Sending proposal after proposal and hearing nothing back is one of the hardest parts of freelancing, especially in the early days. It can start to feel pointless after a while, and many people quietly give up without even realising it. Some freelancers say setting a daily number helps, others say improving the proposal itself changed things for them. But staying consistent when results are slow takes a kind of mental strength that is not easy to explain. What keeps you going when it feels like nothing you send is working?

I don't really need motivation when I am sending out proposal because I know it's a number game. I know that the more proposal I sent out the more opportunity of landing the one that will say yes to me. I've been in the marketing section before I know that for every 100 proposals I sent at least one or two will give me a reply and majority of them will give me rejection.
