Ask How do you politely turn down a project that is not a good fit?

Sometimes a freelancer gets a job offer that just does not match their skills or schedule. It is always hard to say no because we do not want to lose future business from that person. I believe that being honest about your limits is always the best way to go. How do you usually tell a potential client that you cannot take on their job without making them feel bad or damaging your professional relationship with them in the future?
