Many clients treat the first version of work as something that should already look finished, even though drafts are meant to show direction and gather input. This can cause friction when they react strongly to early work that was never meant to be polished. I think part of the problem is that some clients have never been through a proper creative process before. What do you say at the start of a project to help a client understand what to expect at each stage without turning it into a long explanation they will not read?
