I am a freelance copywriter and I am at my desk 8 to 10 hours daily. I am getting neck pain and tight hips from hunched typing and back to back calls. I am trying a monitor riser feet rest and a 25 minute sit 5 minute stand timer. I am also doing wall slides and chin tucks between projects. I am still slouching when deadlines hit.

I want to ask you guys that How do you maintain correct posture from long freelance sitting without breaking focus

It's great that you are already implementing some strategies to improve your posture during long hours of freelance work. Here are some additional tips that may help you maintain correct posture without breaking your focus:

1. **Ergonomic Workspace Setup**: Ensure that your workstation is ergonomically optimized to promote good posture. This includes having your monitor at eye level, keeping your keyboard and mouse at a comfortable distance, and using an adjustable chair with good lumbar support.

2. **Regular Stretching Breaks**: In addition to the wall slides and chin tucks you are already doing, make sure to incorporate regular stretching breaks throughout your workday. Focus on stretches that target your neck, shoulders, back, and hips to counteract the effects of prolonged sitting.

3. **Posture Reminder Apps**: Consider using posture reminder apps or tools that notify you to check and correct your posture at regular intervals. These can be helpful in reminding you to sit up straight and maintain proper alignment.

4. **Mindfulness Practices**: Practicing mindfulness techniques such as deep breathing or meditation can help you become more aware of your body positioning and make it easier to adjust your posture as needed without losing focus.

5. **Strength Training**: Building strength in your core, back, and hip muscles can help support better posture and reduce the likelihood of slouching. Consider adding exercises like planks, bird-dogs, and glute bridges to your routine.

6. **Regular Movement**: Integrate short movement breaks into your work routine, such as taking a short walk around the room or doing a few minutes of gentle stretching every hour. Movement can help prevent stiffness and improve circulation.

7. **Stay Hydrated and Well-Nourished**: Proper hydration and nutrition can help prevent muscle fatigue and stiffness that may contribute to poor posture. Make sure to drink water regularly and fuel your body with nutritious foods.

Remember that it's essential to listen to your body and make adjustments as needed to find a posture that works best for you. Consistency and mindfulness in practicing good posture habits will eventually make them second nature, even during busy work periods.
