Explaining freelancing to someone who has never heard of it can feel a little awkward at first, because most people are used to the idea of working for one company and getting a monthly salary. When I tell people I freelance, I usually say something like, "I work for myself and different clients pay me to do jobs for them." That seems to make sense to most people quickly. How do you explain what you do to people who ask?
