Freelance careers rarely go in a straight line, and most people who have been at it for a while have had slow periods. The problem is explaining those gaps to a new client without making it look like something went wrong. Some freelancers are honest about it, while others use that time to point to personal projects or learning. How do you usually handle it when a client asks why there was a gap in your work?

I think I don't need to be explaining the gap history in my freelance career for the client. My duty is to establish that I am capable of the job and give them the reference to some of the project I have handled in the past. It is now up to the clients to accept me as their freelance or not
