You approach A/B testing of email subject lines by creating two versions of the same email with different subject lines. You must send each version to a small, random sample of your email list. After sending, track the open rates for each version. The subject line with the higher open rate is the winner. You should test one element at a time, such as wording or length, to get clear results. Keep the subject lines simple and relevant. A/B testing helps you understand what resonates with your audience and improves your email campaign's effectiveness over time.

Personally, I like to start A/B testing with small changes in my email subject lines. For example, I'll test two versions that are similar but one is a little shorter or uses a different word. I send each version to a small part of my audience first and see which one gets more opens. Once I see a clear winner, I send that version to the rest. It's simple, but it really helps improve results over time.
