I don't get how some display ads just fit perfectly with the site they show up on. I've tried matching my ad messaging to the site's theme, changing headlines and images to feel more connected. At tine it works and the engagement goes up. Other times, it feels like my ads are shouting in a different language.
I've also tested generic ads that don't try to match at all. Those sometimes do okay too, which confuses me even more. I keep tweaking and watching the results, hoping to crack the code.
