Writing a good Upwork proposal feels like one of those things that should be simple but clearly is not, because so many people send out dozens with no reply. The way I see it, most proposals probably sound too generic and do not speak directly to what the client posted. A proposal that shows you read and understood the job tends to stand out more than one that lists your skills. What has worked for you when writing proposals that actually got replies?
