I've been freelancing for a while now, but I'm struggling to manage my cash flow because the payments I get from clients are often irregular. Some clients pay on time, but others take weeks or months, which leaves me scrambling to cover my expenses.

I'm not sure how to budget or plan ahead when I can't predict when I'll get paid.

I've heard about setting up payment schedules or retainers, but I'm unsure how to implement that effectively.

How do you manage cash flow in a freelance business with irregular payments? What systems or strategies work best for you?

You can't make a regular cash flow with freelancing business except your income is regular with it. You can however do this with sourcing for clients that only pay at some regular intervals. But if you have those that pay irregularly, you can express your unsatisfactory pleasure to them for them to change at least.
