I recently started freelancing, and I'm worried about handling bad clients. Some people say clients can be rude, demanding, or even refuse to pay. I don't know what to do if that happens.

Should I set rules before starting a project? What if they ignore me after the work is done? I don't want to waste my time or get scammed.

I also don't want to ruin my reputation by arguing with a client. I just need a way to stay professional while protecting myself.

How do you handle difficult or non-paying freelance clients?

It is always heartbreaking hearing that some clients won't still pay despite having their work well-done by a freelancer. What do they need to do? They should report to the workplace platform. Doing this will make them call the attention of the clients. Or in some cases, collect upfront before embarking on any task.
