Hey everyone,

I recently created an online course, but I'm not sure if my students like it or find it helpful. I want to improve it, but I don't know how to get honest feedback. Should I ask them directly, send surveys, or track their progress somehow? Also, once I have feedback, how do I decide what to change? I don't want to overwhelm students with too many updates, but I also want the course to be the best it can be. If you have experience with this, I'd love to hear what worked for you.

How do I gather and implement feedback to improve my online course?

Just ask your students what's working and what's not. Pay attention to casual comments in emails or discussion boards, too; they usually hint at what's confusing or boring. Once you've got the feedback, look for common themes instead of stressing over one random complaint. Make small tweaks so the course keeps improving without turning into a huge project. And let students know what you changed so they feel listened to

This is a much easier question than it seems. The e-learning most people consume at work was never made to be interesting, valuable or educational. Most of it was made to simply to cut the costs of meeting governmental standards on sexual harrassment and discrimination training.

Ultimately, modern e-learning sucks because nobody tried to make it good. The goal was to make it cheaper than in-person training.

When gathering feedback to improve your online course, it's important to approach it systematically. Reach out to your students and ask for their honest feedback on the course. You can do this through surveys, emails, or discussion boards. Make sure to ask specific questions about what they liked, what they think could be improved, and any suggestions they may have.

When looking to enhance your online course through feedback, it's beneficial to employ various strategies. Directly ask students for their opinions through surveys, emails, or discussion boards. Additionally, monitor their progress in the course and observe interactions to collect valuable insights. Analyze feedback for recurring themes and focus on making incremental improvements to prevent overwhelming students with constant updates. Communication is key - keep students informed about changes based on their feedback.

Reach out to your students and ask for feedback through surveys, emails, or discussion boards. Encourage them to share their thoughts on what is working well and what could be improved. Keep track of your students' progress in the course. This can help you identify any areas that may be challenging for students or where improvements are needed.

To gather feedback effectively for your online course, consider employing various methods such as surveys, direct student inquiries, and progress tracking. Surveys can provide structured feedback, while direct inquiries through emails or discussion boards offer more personalized insights.
