Sometimes a smaller influencer can be more effective than one with a huge audience. Influencers with fewer followers often have closer connections with their audience. Their followers tend to trust their opinions more because they see them as real people, not celebrities. On the other hand, influencers with many followers can give your brand more exposure, but engagement may be lower. It depends on what your brand needs at the time. For example, if you want to grow awareness fast, a large influencer helps. But if you want true customer interest and feedback, smaller influencers work better. For long-term brand growth, smaller influencers with a loyal audience often bring stronger results. Their followers trust their recommendations, engage more deeply, and are more likely to convert into repeat customers. While big influencers provide wide exposure, the engagement and authenticity of smaller creators build lasting relationships and brand credibility, which pays off over time.
 
Sometimes big influencers are better for reach. They can show your product to many people at once, which is good for awareness. But the problem is that not everyone in that large audience cares or takes action, so results may not match the size.

For the marketers that want to have impressions but don't really care if the audience buy such a product or not will go for the influencers that have more audience. While those that care about intention go for the audience that will really buy.
