Another useful layer is comparing different audiences and creatives to see what actually drives results, not just engagement. When measurement is tied to clear business goals, it becomes much easier to know what's working and what needs improvement.
 
A good place to start is knowing what result you actually want from the ads. Some people focus on clicks, but clicks alone don't mean much if nobody buys or signs up. If your goal is sales, then track how many people actually buy after clicking. That keeps your focus on real results, not just numbers that look nice.
