Driving organic traffic using SEO is becoming a tug of war right now. The reason is that some of the competitors are now engaging in deadly strategy just to eliminate their opponents for the target keywords in their niche on Google search engine.

One of the things they do is to send low quality back links to the website of their competitor so that they will be able to receive Google penalty at the next update. If someone notice bad links on their website how can that person go about it to remove all those low quality spam links?

First, check what links are pointing to your site using tools like Google Search Console or Ahrefs. You're looking for sketchy, spammy, or totally random websites. Once you find them, try emailing the site owner and ask nicely if they can remove the link. Some will ignore you, and that's okay. If the link won't come down, Google's Disavow Tool is your backup plan. Don't go crazy with it though; only disavow links that are clearly bad.

I've run into this problem before and it can be really stressful. For me, the first thing was to check all my backlinks with a tool and spot the low-quality ones. Then I emailed the website owners asking them politely to remove the links. For the stubborn ones, I used the disavow tool. It worked slowly but steadily. Keeping track regularly now saves me from surprises in rankings.
