I'm thinking of launching a new sub-brand under my consulting work but I don't want to go all in before I know if it will land. I'm talking new name new offer new audience.

I want to know the best way to test it without wasting time or money. I am thinking of running a landing page with ads share content on social and see what sticks or just pitch it to a few existing clients first

Has anyone here tested a sub-brand while freelancing, What worked and what flopped for you?

I would love to hear your experiences and honest opinions in the comment section.

Testing a new sub-brand as a freelance consultant is a smart approach to minimize risks and validate your idea before a full launch. Here are some strategies you can consider to test your new sub-brand effectively:

1. Landing Page with Ads: Creating a landing page that showcases your new sub-brand's name, offer, and target audience is a cost-effective way to gauge interest. Running targeted ads to drive traffic to this page will help you measure clicks, conversions, and other important metrics.

2. Social Media Content: Sharing relevant content related to your new sub-brand on social media can help generate interest and engagement. Pay attention to which types of content resonate most with your audience and track the engagement and feedback you receive.

3. Pitch to Existing Clients: Pitching your new sub-brand to a select group of existing clients can provide valuable feedback from a trusted audience. Their input can help you refine your offering and positioning before reaching out to a wider audience.

4. Surveys and Feedback Forms: Creating surveys or feedback forms can help you gather insights from your target audience regarding your new sub-brand. Ask questions about the name, offer, messaging, and overall appeal to identify strengths and areas for improvement.

5. Collaborations and Partnerships: Partnering with other freelancers or businesses to test your new sub-brand can help you reach a broader audience and gain exposure. Collaborations can also offer validation from industry peers and potential clients.

When testing a new sub-brand, it's important to keep an open mind, be willing to iterate based on feedback, and monitor key performance indicators to assess the success of your testing efforts.

I hope these strategies provide you with some guidance on how to test your new sub-brand effectively. If you have any further questions or need more specific advice, feel free to ask!
