Ask Have you ever had a client introduce a new decision maker at the end of a project who changed everything?

It is frustrating in a very specific way. The work is almost done, the client has signed off on the direction, and then someone new appears, maybe a manager or a business partner, who was not part of any earlier conversation and now has strong opinions about everything. All the previously approved decisions are suddenly open again and the freelancer is back near the beginning without any additional pay. Do you think this is something that should be addressed in the contract from the start, or is there a better way to handle it when it happens?

Yes you can see some of the clients changing decision maker during the project. One of the reason is that the client might be working for an organization. The minor see that is making progress with the project so they might replace that person with another one and that is what you are experiencing there.
