Email marketing is not as easy as people may think. And it is possible for people especially those that do not know more about it, to fail while carrying out e-mail marketing. There are several reasons while most people as well fail in email marketing.

To be honest, email making is difficult. This is one of the reasons why I left the method to focus on more other methods of digital marketing. Getting emails of targeted audience is very difficult. Then doing email segmentation is very difficult as well. Then you need to make sure you do follow up of the emails that you have sent to your audience. All these makes it very difficult to carry out email marketing.
 
Yes, I've definitely failed in email marketing a few times. I once sent out emails without checking the subject lines or audience, and almost nobody opened them. It was a wake-up call to pay attention to testing, personalization, and timing. Failures like that actually taught me more than the successes because I learned what not to do next time.
 
I haven't tried but certainly failure is not the end to whether you will continue with email marketing or not. It is not always easy from the beginning based on what others have said but if you have a target you can always hit provided you are patient and keep learning from others.
 
Email marketing is honestly just about keeping things real. Don't act like some big company. Get a list of folks who are actually into what you're doing, then send stuff they'll care about, like quick tips, updates, or small offers. Don't blow up their inbox though, that's the fastest way to get ignored. Keep it simple, a little personal, and not too serious. Try different things and see what people like. At the end of the day, it's just about staying in touch and not being annoying.
