Though customers are always right, not in all situations. I could remember the last fight I caught a business owner having with a customer. The customer, though was at fault, the business owner was the one begging her. She didn't want the fight to be dirtier than the present moment.

Usually, if someone's upset, I just listen, try to understand where they're coming from, and figure out a way to fix it without getting heated. I focus on staying calm and professional, which usually helps calm them down too. Sure, disagreements happen sometimes, but I try to turn them into a constructive conversation instead of an argument. Being patient and respectful usually does the trick, and in the end, it's nice when the customer feels heard

Usually, conflicts happen because of misunderstandings or unmet expectations. The key is staying calm, listening carefully, and finding a solution rather than escalating the situation. I try to empathize with the customer's frustration, apologize if necessary, and work toward a resolution that satisfies both sides. Most of the time, just staying patient and professional diffuses the tension. In rare cases where someone becomes aggressive, it's important to involve a manager or follow safety protocols.

Just like the poster above said, it is always better to avoid fighting with customers. When they are ranting, you may decide to just work away to prevent the two of you from involving in a physical fight. You can as well calm the customers by making sure that you are using cool tone.
