Has your nationality ever been a challenge for you making much from freelancing?

There are some people that have argued that countries of nationality has always been an issue in freelancing. Majority of them always complain that they are not getting tasks from clients because of their nationalities. Some clients for some reasons may just refuse to make use of some freelancers from particular countries. Has something like this affected you before? How did you escape it? Nationality has been a major challenge for most people who are engaging in freelancing from the third world countries. Most of the clients prefer to work with people who are from advanced country like United States in Canada Australia New Zealand etc. So those people from those country will make more money than the rest
