Do you need an LLC before your first dollar?

You don't really need to be bothering yourself with LLC at the beginning of your freelancing journey. You may start worrying about that when you are earning about $5k. Most clients always feel safer when they are working with someone, especially the freelancers that have LLC. What do you think about this?
