I would say feeling ashamed depends on how one sees it. Personally, I don't see promoting adult websites as wrong. It's legal, has rules, and helps a large industry that employs many people. Some may judge, but those same people often use such websites secretly. What's important is to keep it clean, follow regulations, and treat it as serious work, not something dirty. Confidence removes the shame.
