Longer articles still tend to rank well in many cases, since they cover a topic in more depth and answer several related questions on one page. However, length alone does not guarantee good rankings, since a shorter article that answers a question clearly and directly can sometimes perform just as well or even better. Search engines seem to care more about how well a topic is covered than the word count. Do you think article length still matters as much in search rankings?

Writing longer content just to rank feels like a chore. You end up adding unnecessary fluff that does not help anyone. I prefer when writers just say what they need to say and stop. Simple, clear answers always win in the end for me. Why complicate things with extra, empty words?
