Ask Do clients care more about your education or the quality of work you can actually do?

I often wonder if clients really care about degrees or certificates, or if they just focus on the work you can deliver. In freelancing, many people learn skills on their own, without formal education. At the same time, some clients may still look at background before trusting someone. I feel like results should matter more, but I am not fully sure how clients think. In your experience, do clients focus more on education or on the actual quality of your work?
