It seems like most platforms now ask you to verify your identity before you can take your earnings out, which makes sense from a security standpoint. But the process is not the same everywhere, and some platforms ask for more documents than others or take longer to approve them. A few smaller platforms may let you withdraw with very little verification, while bigger ones are strict about it. For freelancers in countries where documentation is harder to provide, this step can become a real barrier.
