Most people don't aim at starting a business. What they do is developing ideas that they would later sell off to some investors, some are called angel investors. Some may do the as a result of lack of money to execute their business plans. Others may be as a result of all the ups and downs that are associated with business formation.

Is it a good idea selling off ideas, especially the idea that one knows may later become so successful. Share your opinions in the comment section below.

Most investors or companies want more than just an idea—they want to see proof that it works, like a prototype, business plan, or some early traction. If your idea is unique, solves a real problem, and has potential to make money, it's possible to pitch it to startups, investors, or license it to a company. Protecting your idea with a patent or NDA can help, but ultimately, execution matters more than just the idea itself.

We know some people that are called Angel investors. They do buy ideas from people that have ideas on a particular thing. It is a cool thing. But if you have the capital to set up your business, why selling off your ideas? Except may be you have various working ideas.

Usually, people pay for a plan or proof that your idea can actually make money. You can pitch ideas to investors, companies, or people who love new stuff. It helps to protect your idea with patents or NDAs, but honestly, showing how it works and why it's worth it is way more important. Sometimes you can license it or team up with someone to make it happen. Basically, ideas are cool, but the clearer and more real you make them, the easier they are to sell

If the business has a prospect and it is certain that it will fetch me more money, I don't think I will be tempted to sell. But for the ones that I am not even sure of, I don't think selling them will be an issue to me at all.

If you don't have enough time for yourself, you may decide to be selling your business ideas. This can still be another way of generating money for yourself. But for those that have the things required to start a business, they may not sell their business idea.s for anything.

Most people won't pay for just a "what if" floating in your head. An idea by itself is like a pizza craving with no dough. Not super valuable. That said, if you've done the homework, got early interest, or even built a rough prototype, now you're talking. Some folks do sell pitch decks or simple biz plans to entrepreneurs looking for a head start. Just remember: ideas are cheap, doing the work is what counts. Just be smart, maybe use an NDA, and don't expect a payday from a napkin sketch.
