That depends, is it a pop-up in Chrome, Opera, Firefox or Safari? Then yes, Selenium can handle it. Is it a pop-up in IE or Edge? Then no, Selenium can't. Do you know why?



Pop-ups in Chrome are created within the Chrome browser, so Selenium can see and manipulate them. The same applies for Opera, Firefox and Safari.





Pop-ups in IE and Edge are created through the Windows operating system and are out of the scope of the browser, so Selenium can't directly manipulate them.



This can create problems for multi browser testing in a Selenium test case. So what's the solution?
