After many years of steady fee increases, Upwork now faces the challenge of winning back freelancers who feel they have been paying more while receiving less in return. Trust takes a long time to build but can disappear quickly once people feel a platform values profit over their wellbeing. The problem is that once people have moved on it is very difficult for them to come back again to the same old format they have been using. Once the freelance become comfortable on the new platform it can be very difficult for them to go back to the place we are the experiencing pain and that is the case with the upwork
