Ask Can two people own a membership websites together?

I want to start a membership website. I started looking at the cost of running membership website but I don't want to do it alone. A friend is interested in partnering with me, but I'm not sure how that would work. Can two people share ownership of a membership site? How do we split responsibilities and earnings? I don't want any issues down the line. I just want to know if this is possible and how to set it up properly.
