The argument on whether it is possible for social media to put an end to conventional or traditional marketing can not be concluded. While it is true that traditional way of marketing is fading, its relevance cannot be overemphasized.

There are still oral marketing, house to house marketing and other forms of traditional ways of marketing. This forms are seen as primitive but very effective especially for those that are into small and medium businesses.

All these have really made it impossible for social media to just end traditional ways of marketing.

I don't think so. Though it is obvious that social media is taking over these days but not to the extent of taking over the traditional form of advertising. There are many ways traditional advertising cannot go off like that. It is simpler and can be used effectively by both educated and illiterate affiliate marketers. Aside this, social media is expensive more than traditional advertising. So, to me, I believe social media can only enhance traditional advertising.

I don't think social media will completely replace traditional marketing. It's true that social media is faster, cheaper, and can reach a huge audience, but traditional marketing like TV, radio, and print still works for certain people and industries. Some audiences trust traditional media more. I feel the future will be a mix of both, using social media for engagement and traditional marketing for credibility and wide awareness.

Social media is powerful, but I don't think it will totally replace traditional marketing. Some people still respond better to TV ads, billboards, or even printed materials. Social media works well for engagement and targeting specific audiences, but traditional marketing is still effective for reaching a wide range of people. They both have their roles, and many businesses use a mix of both for the best results.

Social media will not completely replace traditional marketing anytime soon. Both have different strengths and reach different audiences. Older people still watch TV, listen to radio, and read newspapers more than they scroll through Instagram or Facebook.

Traditional marketing is already losing ground, but saying it will end completely is too extreme. Big companies still spend millions on TV commercials during major events because they know it works. Social media is cheaper and more flexible, which is why small businesses love it, but not every product or service fits the social media model.

The problem with relying only on social media is that algorithms change without warning. A business that depends entirely on Facebook or Instagram for customers could lose everything if the platform changes how it shows content. Traditional marketing gives you more stability because you pay for guaranteed placement.

Younger generations barely pay attention to traditional ads anymore, so social media will become more dominant as those people get older and gain more purchasing power. Companies know this and are already shifting their budgets toward digital platforms.

The Gen Z focused generation are more magnetic to social media marketing as they preferred to buy almost everything online. However, I don't the traditional marketing will go into extinction because there are still a sizeable number of people that are not on social media platforms or not convinced of the impact of social media marketing.
