Ask Can I redirect domains from Nixihost?

Hi

I have a new account with Nixihost and can have 5 domains. When I add an addon domain, a subdomain is created but I don't want there to be at all. Nixihost live chat said I couldn't do anything about it but, as these are separate personal projects, I don't want there to be subdomains technically linking these together.

Is there anything that I can do, and any guidance that people may have? Thank you!!!

From what I know, with many shared hosting setups like Nixihost, adding an addon domain automatically creates a subdomain for internal purposes. Unfortunately, this is often required by the system and cannot be fully removed. The good news is that this subdomain doesn't have to be used publicly, it's mainly for internal routing. You can still set up redirects for your addon domain so that it points wherever you want without exposing the subdomain.
