Ask Can a company change its name after joining BMF company membership?

Hello,

I am a business owner running on company membership on this wonderful forum. I cannot deny the fact that it has really helped me. However, of recent, I tried to change my business name to reflect my wife's name, because she has been the pillar behind me.

I don't know if it is possible for me to change my details on the platform after I have been using the account.

Can you enlighten me to know the possibility?

It's not a big problem in most cases. The company just needs to complete the official name change with the government first, then inform BMF about the new name. They may ask for updated documents like a new registration certificate or business details. The membership normally stays the same because the business itself has not changed, only the name. The company should also update things like payment records, emails, logos, and membership information so people do not get confused. The easiest thing to do is contact BMF directly and ask what documents they need to update the membership records
