Are you into full-time freelancing? How difficult is it?

I am thinking of going into full freelancing service but I need to know how difficult is it before I can into such. There are some people that have told me different things about it making me to believe that it is not a thing that you need to go into if you don't prepare yourself. I want to know what it takes to be a full-time freelancers before I think of going into it.
