Freelance rates seem to depend heavily on the platform and the skill involved, since some freelancers report earning more this year while others say clients keep pushing for lower prices. Competition from freelancers in lower cost countries also seems to affect pricing conversations quite often. Still, skilled freelancers with strong portfolios appear to charge more without much resistance from clients. Have your rates gone up or down this year?

One thing I can say about that one is that the rate of the freelance are increasing gradually. The reason is that platform fee is also increasing so they will need to increase the price and the rate of the services to cover up the charges and to make some profit themselves.
