Are free platforms for learning freelancing always effective?

There has been a lot of debate on whether the fee ways of learning freelancing is always dependable and effective or not. Some people have said that those platforms are not always effective. They claim that learning skills like freelancing should require money for it to be effective. Others have argued that there are several people that learnt freelancing and they learn it for free.
