The main reason why you need to be working more on improving your skills is that there are stiff competitions which can make it difficult for you to secure clients.

It is very important for you to build a competence in the service you offer in the freelance marketplace to make money. If you don't have competency in the service you are often there is no way you are going to convince the client that you are capable to handle any of their custom projects.
